26th November 2003 Windsurfing: Golf Course Car park Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: 16-20 knots Surf / Sea State: 3 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 6ºC Sea Temperature: 12ºC Weather: Rain Max Speed: Distance Covered: Just a quick session before work, whilst rigginf it felt as though I should be rigging my 5m not my 5.7m, but as its at the bottom of the sea somewhere I had no choice. The tide was high, so I had to launch off the pebbles and I was glad that I was well powered up as it allowed me to get straight onto the plane and battle my way out through the viscous shore-break. Once out the back, everything was fine and I had a nice little sail for about 20 minutes, until I got knocked off by a wave in a bit of a lull and before i knew it I was washed back up onto the pebbles. I tried to get back out again, but by now the tide was even higher up the pebbles and the wind had dropped, so I had no chance. I gave up and went to work instead |
